Why Children Are Trying to Unblock Facebook From Schools

By Ilona Dodon

Facebook network is becoming increasingly popular day after day. Among all the teens troughout the world, it had already made its way to much of their lifestyle. Teenagers are extremely occupied with it and always try to set aside time for Facebook social network, taking away time from family outings, socializing, and sacrifice much sleep over that matter. As a parent, you need to be informed about how Facebook works and why it reaches us to many young people and how to manage the situation properly to limit the negative impacts.

Facebook states that you need to be at least 13 years old to register at Facebook and create an account. However, anyone can easily put false date of birth as they require no form of official identification. Do note that banning your child from using Facebook is a bad idea, as it could harm your child's social position greatly should it not have a Facebook social network account, like everyone else, resulting in your child feeling lonely or left out.

Facebook is blocked at many schools, but there are many methods if you are wondering how to access Facebook from school

Children of 8-10 years old are generally less fanatical users of Facebook as not many of their friends are using it, thus they won't be monitoring their Facebook accounts daily. Older kids, in their puberty period and usually more mature would be seen spending more time on Facebook social network as they ages. They chat with friends there, and its free. They post updates about their life and the little things they encounter be it happy or sad. They upload photos and videos of themselves and also play games such as Farmville. There are tens of apps on Facebook social network in the form of predictions and one can create an app fairly easily. What's famous in Facebook network is the 'like' button. Teenagers take this seriously. The more likes they get, it determines their popularity and make them feel wanted and happy to be noticed. If they get no likes, then they would feel left out and lonely.

Many children check Facebook continuously for the day in an interval of 20mins.They might be doing their homework, watching a movie or sleeping, and they will feel the urge to check their Facebook social network again. It is certain that in that time frame their hundreds of friends would have posted something. It is minor, but they feel the need to keep up with their friends and what they are doing.

During the summer months and the holidays Facebook social network use will be on the rise, as children usually find the holidays full of time and they couldn't think of anything else to do. Thus, they simply stay at their computer and check the updates regularly. Also, they tend to do more things such as going kayaking, swimming, go on a holiday and they will all let their friends know what they are doing and posts photos of it.

Facebook network is an ideal creation and there is much to admire about it. It is a beautiful tool that helps us keep in touch will all of our friends at a regular basis and totally changed the world of socialization. But as you will realize as your child grows, it will pose quite a bit of a problem, otherwise known as the Facebook social network Addiction Disorder, meaning that your kid is spending way too much time on Facebook network at the expense of his lifestyle and school. They would use Facebook social network to the point that they neglect and refrain from seeing them in real life and stick to Facebook social network to maintain their relationships. They would use Facebook social network when they are not supposed to, and cause a great deal of worry to you and his academic performance at school. They would feel that if they don't continuously monitor and use Facebook, they cannot live.

As mothers, it is your job to step in and take responsibility and cope and adapt to the situation. Try to talk more to your teens, find out how much he spends time on and set limits. When it is school time, make sure that they are focused in doing their schoolwork and not get distracted in the middle of doing it with temptations to play Facebook games and monitor their updates.
