When it is working it is great but they break too easily, it is too sensitive and therefore cheaply made, but for some reason they cost 50 bucks a pop. All 3 of my fans have the same problem $150 total loss unless I can get them repaired by the manufacturer. Got this just the right time! It gets the job done well fanning the receiver, - and with the extra cooling that unfortunately only lasts for 2 hours.
I have brought 3 fans so far because my 1st one has some trouble with the blade rotating, the flow of air goes on and off, I think this is caused by the power adapter for the wall outlet. You should stick with batteries or the USB adapter. This fan produces a surprisingly great amount of breeze, especially after a long game of football. It has an adjusting fan speed setting (high for when I just finish playing sport, mid-range for normal cooling off) and works almost as well as an AC because the force of the breeze is quite strong. At the end of the day it is just a fan and I'm sure there are other products that can do what the handy cooler can does, but this has done it well and I recommend it. I was a bit skeptical about it at first, but after testing it out am all for it.
I suffer from MS and menopause so when I have to battle with the sun and the heat, I become cranky, sweaty and flustered. I have taken the handy cooler on my travels and I have found that although the device is a little bit chunky, it makes up for its size with the comfy hand strap. It cools, it's convenient, and very ergonomic. The only problem is the high price tag! I would like to personally thank the makers of Handy Cooler for making life so much more comfortable! Handy Cooler cools the air for real, not exactly at the level of an actual air conditioner, but much more than any mini-fan.
And it does cool the air, probably not 30 degrees, but it does work to a decent degree. The cover with the sponge in it is very difficult to get off and put back on.
I live in the dry Southwest and this handy cooler is perfect. It's well engineered, quiet, and very convenient to bring around.
It prevents me from turning into a giant mess. I'm on the go and very active indoors and out, this product has been fantastic, for me personally a life and sanity saver. It's best for when you're standing still. I was disappointed to hear its effectiveness diminishes in hot humid conditions. When the batteries are being charged, I run it on my laptop. I also recommend the home adapter which gives out more power.
It fit in my normal-sized fanny pack with an extra set of batteries and the little water bottle, along with a small still camera and a Flip video camera. By midmorning my t-shirt was soaked and I had already wrung out my headband twice, so I found a little shade and fired this guy up.

I will certainly suggest this unit. I had a water cooler when I was a child and it was fantastic. Wall Mounted Air Conditioning Units. I must say I'm extremely delighted with the item. First thought, the fan is great and quiet at level one, like it. wall mounted air conditioning units.
