Scott Tucker: Champion In The Race Track

Private equity magnate turned to professional race car driver, Scott Tucker, has moved into the LMP2 category for 2011. Thus, Scott Tucker, together with his Level 5 Motorsport team wasted no time in creating their new prototypes. Tucker became a part of the winning team during the annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, the Le Mans Series and the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup World Championship.

Aside from belonging to the winning team, he also bagged excellent record at the ALMS season which was held at Long Beach even if this was the first time that he competed in this particular race. Having said this, Scott Tucker and both his co-drivers Joao Barbosa and Christophe Bouchut achieved podium finish during the 24 Hours of Le Mans under a very competitive prototype division which also placed Tucker as the highest-placed American driver.

His achievement in this particular place also served a great milestone in his career as a racecar driver as he was one of the few drivers who were able to achieved podium finish in all major endurance races in the world. In fact, he placed third in Daytona in 2010, class wins for both 2010 and 2011 Twelve Hours of Sebring, third place in 2010 at 24 Hours of Le Mans and class win for the Petit Le Mans.

Aside from these achievements, he was also able to record his 50th win in his career in 2010 which is very impressive considering that he started his career later in his life and on 2006. The year 2010 became his best season since he was able to achieve a lot of things. Aside from the inaugural of American Le Mans Series LMPC drivers, he also got the Rookie-of-the-Year for his class wins and excellent performance.

Aside from these winnings, he was also able to win other competitions including the Ferrari Challenge Series which earned him vice champion. Moreover, he was also able to win consecutively in the SCCA Nation Championship T1 driving title with his Ferrari 430. He never stopped competing from the time he joined to date.

With his many achievements, this resulted to Ferrari entrusting him to become the test driver for Ferrari 599XX supercar. He was also the first American to test the Audi R10 TDI on the race tracks of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2010 with Team Kolles. Due to his inspirational story, he also became one of the highlights in the documentary film "Daytona Dream".
