Tips on What to Post After Creating a Like Page on Facebook

By John Miranda

Where do we find material to publish every single day on our Church Facebook Page?

I know that with all the other church responsibilities we have, posting on a custom facebook page can be somewhat of a challenge. So here are a few ways to get that done.

1. Go over last week's sermon.

If you can ask somebody from your church to take notes about your sermon and make 5 posts, so you would have one for each work day, out of your message that can be talked about on Facebook.

For instance, you can post "last Sunday, I talked about forgiveness. Why is it so hard for us to do that?

-or-

I discussed about the creation last week. Did dinosaurs really roamed the earth with mankind?

2. Daily Bible Devotions.

The members of the church sometimes or often forget to read their bibles on a daily basis. Simply post something from your daily reading and add a comment to it. Example: I have read Romans 1: 24-25 today. What lie were men and women believing in these verses?

Encourage your congregation to get in the word everyday. What better way then living the example.

3. Prayer for things taking place right now.

Have someone with a passion for prayer voice a prayer for anything transpiring today.

For example: God please be with our military and protect them as they are battling.

If you come to a decision to list prayer for someone specific, please keep in mind that sharing personal prayer requests can cause issues because of the sensitive nature. Before posting anything personal, you should get out of your way and ask the people concerned to show that you respect their privacy.

4. Survey your congregation by learning how tocreate a like page on facebook.

People love to offer their thoughts on subjects. Your congregation is no different. Ask them a poll question and start to prepare them for the Weekend Message.

For example: this Sunday, I will be preaching on tithing. Does God care how much we give?

5. Promote Announcements (Sparingly!)

Remember! Facebook is for RELATIONSHIPS, not your church bulletin. Conversely, it may come in handy if you post some church announcements once or twice a week just to remind the congregation of the upcoming church activities.

6. As A Final Point - LOOK For Ways To Fulfill Needs And Minister.

People need to realize God's ways and to be introduced to Christ whether they are in a church or on Facebook. Please DON'T forget the reason we are on this earth is to promote the gospel with ALL the world.
